A Message from Tina Saenz, President of
LITTLE MISS KICKBALL INTERNATIONAL, INC.
Congratulations to all the State
Champions. You dared to dream of
success and you realized those dreams through hard work and dedication.
This poem was given to me by a passing friend I met at MD Anderson and I
would like to share it with you.
Dare To Dream
You
may get a lot of negative
feedback from others,
and so much happens in life
to block the road you wish to travel.
But you must dream anyway
and cherish your dreams
as they come from your soul
and are the blueprint
of who you are.
What's more, they represent
the direction you should take on earth.
Let your heart set your goals
and remain dedicated to them.
Corporation Members,
Northwest Austin League, Umpires, Coaches, Players,
Parents and Fans:
The 2009 LMKII State Tournament is now in our history book
as one of the largest and most successful Tournaments in our 39 years of
competition. Over 600 girls
registered for this event with 17 Junior teams, 16 Senior teams and 17 Teenage
teams from leagues as far North as Fort Worth and as far South as Brownsville,
Texas.
Words of thanks are not sufficient for all those who make
this tournament possible for the young women that continue to play and support
Little Miss Kickball. So to all
those who made it possible from the protest committees; umpires; coaches;
hospitality volunteers; (I called them the orange shirts this year); bus
and van drivers; t-shirt and food vendors; and so many more that made
contributions with the work of their hands.....THANK YOU!!
To the wonderful NWA leaders and their instant support
teams, I as Corporation President appreciate your generous and fantastic support
in these economic times. You should
all know that the availability of this Tournament to these 600 plus girls was
made economically possible because of your spirit and support.
THANKS!
Thanks mostly to all the wonderful competitors from Alice,
Ben Bolt, Brownsville North, Central Austin, Corpus Christi United, East
Brownsville, Laguna, Northeast Tarrant, Northwest Austin, Northwest Corpus
Christi, OSO, Riverside, Robstown, San Diego, Southside, Tip-O-Tex, and UHO....you
are the ones who made this State Tournament the fantastic event that it is.
Congratulations on the wonderful playing skills you each did in your
individual games and the success you achieved by being who you are.
To the great parents who journey from their hometowns to
take part in this unique tournament and their continued support and respect for
the game of kickball. Thank you for
the extra effort you make to bring dreams to reality. I look for your Tournament participation to grow in the years
to come and many more young ladies from your leagues to share in this wonderful
experience.
Thanks to all of you seen and unseen...known and unknown...
who make this Tournament possible.
See you next year in Brownsville, Texas at the Riverside
fields!!
Tina Saenz
